Perfect Day at CocoCay: A Family Adventure
We’ve made it to CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island paradise, and it’s been nothing short of amazing! From the minute we stepped off the ship, we knew this would be a day packed with fun, laughter, and plenty of splashes.
Thrills for Everyone
Our adventure started at Thrill Waterpark, where kids (and kids at heart) can enjoy adrenaline-pumping slides like the towering Daredevil’s Peak or the family-friendly wave pool. If you’ve got little ones, they’ll love the Adventure Pool, complete with obstacles, fountains, and plenty of safe splashing fun.
The morning was a bit hazy, but by midday, it transformed into a picture-perfect 75°F day. We soaked up the sun, floated along the Coconut Cove Lagoon, and enjoyed the island’s colorful vibes. For families, there are endless activities to explore—from the Splashaway Bay water play area to shaded cabanas for relaxing breaks between adventures.
Delicious Food and Island Vibes
Hungry after all the action? CocoCay delivers with mouthwatering BBQ at Skipper’s Grill and delicious soft-serve ice cream stations scattered around the island. The food is free with your cruise, so it’s a win for parents keeping costs down while fueling up for more fun!
Afternoon Fun and Relaxation
After lunch, we spent the afternoon wandering the island, taking in the incredible views of the turquoise waters and the vibrant sights of Up, Up, and Away, the giant helium balloon that offers breathtaking aerial views. The kids also couldn’t get enough of Captain Jack’s, where they cooled off with refreshing drinks and island tunes.
CocoCay truly has something for everyone, whether you’re an adventure seeker ready to conquer slides, a beach lover lounging by Chill Island, or a family looking for activities that delight all ages.
